Established in 1996, UAP Limited has become a leading UK supplier and distributor of door hardware, specialised locksmith tools and door security products. We have worked hard to build our reputation for excellent product quality, innovation and above all excellent customer service. This has made us a valuable partner for door manufacturers and locksmiths.
It’s also important for us to make it easy for people to improve the security of their home and protect against burglars and bogus callers. This led us to develop the MAX6MUM SECURITY range of affordable, innovative door locks and high security hardware. Now householders can quickly and easily upgrade the security of their existing doors or buy a new MAX6MUM SECURITY door from one of our registered installers.
All UAP products are produced to high quality specifications, priced economically and meet relevant British and European Standards. We have over 1,500 product lines in stock; from door knockers, viewers, letterplates, letters and numerals to cylinders and mortice locks, door chains, cabin hooks and more. Products are available in a wide range of sizes, colours, materials and finishes to ensure we can meet every possible specification, requirement and budget.
We have been awarded Secured by Design approval by the Association of Chief Police Officers for 5 of our security product ranges - the UAP Zero Lift Budget Cylinders (anti-bump and anti-drill), UAP+ Zero Lift Cylinders (anti-bump, anti-drill, anti-snap and anti-pick), Door Viewers, Anti-Vandal™ Letterplates and 6 Lever Mortice Locks.
We are also very proud of our Kitemark status for our range of cylinders, an underlying factor of which is to have a robust ISO9001 system in place. We attained ISO9001:2000 status via BM TRADA almost a decade ago and we have worked hard with our suppliers to ensure their ISO9001 systems are up to the mark at all times. UAP’s directors also constantly visit and audit the factories to ensure they comply with the standards that both UAP and our customers demand.
As well as producing innovative, high in quality products we pride ourselves on having an ethical approach to business and our ethos is ‘Quality Products That Don’t Cost The Earth’. We value our people and our planet and are active in living up to our ethical policy. This involves reducing our carbon footprint by funding the planting of more than 56,000 trees, installing solar panels on our buildings and driving environmentally friendly hybrid cars.
