SALAMANDER FIRE CHECK®
To help with the increasing strictness in fire regulations and to prevent the risk of fire spreading we have a range of fire rated door hardware that will resist the spread of fire for 60 minutes. Our Fire Check® range includes letterplates and door viewers.
Our Fire Check® Letterplates come with non-heat absorbing washers to hold the attaching metal fixings; this prevents heat transfer from the metal plate to the surrounding door. This means the letterplate will be held firmly in place and will not fall off leaving a weakness in the door for fire to spread through.
The Fire Check letterplates and door viewers have an intumescent lining that expands against the heat radiated from a fire; this fills any holes preventing the risk of the fire spreading. We use an advanced intumescent lining that works at five degrees lower than others on the market, giving tenants more valuable time.
Improving fire safety doesn’t have to be expensive, the UAP intumescent strip is half the depth of our competitors at just 1.8mm yet it expands to up to 90mm - 50 times its original size! This gives us a huge price advantage that we can pass on to our customers.
The letterplates conform to BS/EN 1374:2002 standards.
